North America, or the United States of America, one of those two -- whichever it is, it hasn't existed for centuries now, a bombed-out husk between two oceans. Sonia feels like that's not really worth mentioning right now.
She blinks in surprise as Beth brings up a possibility Sonia hadn't even considered. "When this is over," she echoes, looking thoughtful. No, she can't imagine why Beth would ever want to go home, not from what she's told Sonia. "If you're still here," she says with a slight smile, "there's a lot I could show you."
