Sonia looks over her shoulder at Beth and smiles brightly, waving her over. She is indeed petting her own horse, a sturdy dappled gray mare.
"Hello, Beth," she chirps, and hopes that Beth's easy approach means she hasn't found out about Sonia's title yet. Yet being the key word. "Yes, she's mine -- in a way -- I mean, she is, but I don't get to ride her very much these days."
Sonia slips the horse a small wad of maple sugar and pats her nose. "Her name is Moonfire. Come here, I'll give you some sugar."
