"I'm afraid the initial settlers of this planet didn't have a chance to chart their location before the first wormhole collapsed," Diya says. "We resumed those efforts on our arrival, but it is a long process, charing one's position from an entirely unknown location in space."

She turns one hand out, the smile unshifting. "There are no less than ten wormhole jumps between this system and Earth. It's five just to Komarr, its nearest and only neighbor."
