Ratchet exhales on a shuddering sigh and actually does make an attempt to relax, but he's more surprised than anyone when it actually works, the tension bleeding out of him slowly under York's hands as his eyes slip closed. It aches, but that's easy to get accustomed to--the thing catching Ratchet off-balance is the feeling of being taken care of for a change. It's selfish, and he knows York should be resting, but he doesn't tell York to stop. He just exhales shakily into the pillow and presses his lips together when York digs in against his spine, swallowing a rough sound in his throat.
