Something tells Duv that Daryl will fit right in with the Barrayarans if this is how he handles conversations that veer too close to emotions. If he wants to change the subject that suits Duv fine though he can't help but stare at the make-shift traps in confusion.

"You're hunting?" Daryl will have to excuse him, most of Duv's life has been lived as a vegetarian eating vat meat. The food in camp was something of an adjustment and the concept of 'hunting' has been a disaster for him given how terribly his one and only attempt at it so far has gone.
