graveyard

Tucker wasn't nearly drunk enough yet, just pleasantly and warmly buzzed at the moment, which is no way explained why he wandered after Byerly into the graveyard. Maybe it was his normal lack of any sensible boundaries, maybe it was because the only person he was really wanting to talk to - Sonia - wasn't around. Maybe he didn't need a reason.

Maybe it was all of them at once.

But it didn't exactly matter, because he followed after him all the same. Tucker opened his mouth to say something, but the words died, stale on his tongue when he watched the instrument be lifted and that song come to life. He...wasn't exactly expecting that. Hell, he wasn't even sure what he was expecting, but he just sat there and was surprisingly silent for once.

Shit, after the things he had seen, after the kid he watched being buried, Tucker could appreciate a gesture like this a little more.

He waited until the song was over before he clapped lightly, and shocker of shockers, it wasn't even mocking. "You know someone here?" he asked. With these natives, though, they probably knew a lot of people in this ground, probably had the difficult job of turning the ground over themselves.
