Training in knives might be pushing it a little--but she's definitely spent at least a year stabbing things with a great deal of purpose. The emphasis on form here is so far removed from what she's done before that it hardly feels like fighting at all.

Of course, that'll probably change as soon as she's doing more than practicing footing and the right way to hold the sword. It's been difficult to imagine how she'll use this in a real fight, with people coming from any angle (walkers, she's really picturing walkers), but she's only just starting to figure the basics out. So she crooks her elbow a little when it's touched and tries to remember everything else she's been told. Feet like this, back like that, head up, someday maybe a knife in her other hand...

Beth nods, trying to remember what else she can show Rani. "You never know what you're going to have on you. Better safe than sorry, right?"
