She sets the lead in his hands--hold it with the left, Washington, and keep the extra length in your right--and takes a setp out of the way. Moonfire's steady, and Wash seems to catch on quickly; though Beth keeps an eye on both of them, she doesn't have much to worry about. If he wants to learn to ride, she's sure he'll pick it up without any difficulty.

That he might be unsettled hasn't occurred to her yet; on some general level, she's more than aware that her experiences aren't normal, but it hasn't connected to this particular conversation. This just feels like shop talk, though when people want to talk shop, they usually don't come to her. "Yeah. Knives more often than guns, or, like...like scrap metal. Old rebar, stuff like that." She pauses a moment, trying to picture Wash holding a weapon. "Out in space, you probably had lasers, right?"
