For a second it looks like Jasper's going to argue with that – how in the stars is she supposed to not be miserable here when she's stuck in this garbage human body – but... on the other hand... it's not like she'd be substantially less miserable otherwise. For all she knows she'd still be – corrupted, the Pearl called it. And even if she wasn't... she'd be just as lost; just as much of a failure.

At least having to focus on keeping this flesh alive gives her something to do.
