Kurt had a pretty good poker face for a Spartan but perhaps it was too good because the complete shuttering of all expression was just as much of a tell as if he were broadcasting every thought and feeling on his face.

The tall Spartan did reach out to shake York's hand and the ginger way he squeezed the man's fingers betrayed him. This was a man who didn't want to accidentally crush someone's hand with a grip that wasn't as strong as it once had been but still felt the need to be careful all the same. Unsurprisingly, there were lines of calluses built up on the man's hands like one often saw with professional soldiers. Still, York did put him at ease with that totally acceptable explanation though the last part earned him a puzzled look. "We do? In what way, if you don't mind my asking?"

This was perhaps a bit too in the open so he headed for the decontamination area where there were showers set up to help them wash the germs and contamination from their bodies before they joined the regular populace. With luck, it would be empty so they could continue this discussion in privacy.
