York follows Kurt into the shower area, where he turns around and lifts up his overgrown hair by way of explanation. His neural implant is visible as a metal plate at the base of his skull, and when he turns back he looks at Kurt with something that's almost like hope. People from his world are still arriving -- there's still a chance. He glances around to make sure there's no one else changing, and speaks low so no one outside can hear. The showers aren't running so it would seem they're alone in this shift change.

"You're UNSC, right? Your implant is just like mine." He's not going to assume anything else, he'll let Kurt tell him.
