If Daryl were more aware of his surroundings, he'd understand that Miles is clearly trying to knock him over. Honestly, it's a testament to how often Daryl has fought in his life, and in such varying circumstances of health, that he puts up such a good fight in his current condition.

As it is, he rolls with the blow, a little bullet of angry human to his lower legs. He falls to the snow, and reaches forward to grab at Miles, taking the both of them tumbling down. Fallen, but with Miles' shirt bundled in Daryl's hand, he gives the other man a hard shove, trying, in his own way, to throw him.
