Beth wonders if she could do that. She's thought about her victims, staring down into the screaming darkness of that elevator shaft, and if God's there, He must have heard that. But saying a prayer for them--for O'Donnell? for Gorman?--is more than she can do.

It's the kind of thing Daddy would do, and she'd have admired him for it. But she's not sure she could be so generous.

Before she can come up with an answer (I don't say prayers for assholes), Rani's moved on. She's not about to drag them back to murder. Instead, she says, "So do you," and lets Rani lead her toward the mess tent.
