She laughs a little, though she probably wouldn't if she knew just how miserable Daryl'd been before he came to the camp. As it is, she's picturing his usual gruff demeanor and the way he uses half a word when three would do. Especially under those circumstances, he'd be too focused on finding their way to be good company.
