"He seemed pretty miserable, back at the base." Daryl hadn't been a part of the escape plan, no, but Wash is rather glad he'd ended up being a part of it if only because of how helpful he was on the way here -- but also just because Daryl does seem quite a bit more comfortable here, from what little he's seen of him around camp.
