What ideas they may have gotten from his medical exam. He doubts they'd want to replicate the process considering the visible toll it takes on a soldier's body, but... there's always that chance. Maybe some of Wash's paranoia has rubbed off on him since he saw the creature Diya created. It wasn't paranoia if it was true.
