"Yes ma'am. My men and I were under attack and I stayed behind to cover their retreat but one of the aliens struck me a pretty significant blow. According to my bio signs, there was a lot of internal bleeding and damage to my liver. I think by the end there, my insides were being held together by biofoam and not a whole lot else. It should have killed me yet I woke up here mostly whole and not quite dead." What he didn't make mention of was the fact that Kurt was pretty sure he should have been little more than atomized particles thanks to the nuke he'd set off.

He had no idea if the blast being set off so close to a slipspace tear was the reason he was here or there was another explanation. Thus far, he hadn't felt keen to impart that particular part of his story to anyone. Mainly because if these Ceta could control wormhole technology, then he wasn't sure he wanted to risk his Spartans by leading them directly to their doorstep so to speak. "It's a pretty curious mystery and one I wouldn't mind figuring out but right now, my priorities are focused elsewhere. I just hope we can trust our hosts to be as honest and upfront as they claim. Where I'm from, random wormholes don't just snatch people up and deposit them in strange places like this. A lot of math and technology goes into slipspace travel."
