"Yikes." Is all Lapis really says to that whole thing at first, because it really is a sort of 'Yikes' worthy thing. "I'm surprised humans were able to fight back. Especially for so long. I never saw any humans fighting against Gems when we were trying to colonize your planet. But thirty years is probably a lot more recent than five thousand." Seven-hundred-fifty, but really, who's counting?

"Good for your species, being able to fight off another that wants to destroy you." Normally Gems do the whole genocide thing, after all. It's pretty hard to kill something inorganic, after all. Especially if you don't know Gems can reform after you destroy their physical forms.
