She catches against the line that ran down the middle of his palm, feathering off, and no doubt some of it is callous and scars. Nothing she's truly reading, after all, she was not trained, just a game.

Lakshmi clicks her tongue. "Here." The smooth of her callous fingertips along the journey of worn in lines. "I'm sorry, my lord, the news is grave." Shakes her head like this is funeral news, to be sure. "It seems that your sons... will be as willful as your wife and your daughters will be as stubborn as you."

She leans forward, quick, taps his forehead between the eyes. "Best you have many, so that you find one or two a little more malleable."

So that more than one of them may live through such an awful fate. But that she keeps to herself, where her smile is quick and full of mirth. Pressing her finger to her mouth to hide her laughter.
