Probably intending murder, and he does not doubt her capabilities in the slightest. Shit. That's the last thing he needs.
So how does he get Byerly out of this? He doesn't have much time to think. Barely thinks at all, in fact, before throwing himself bodily at Byerly with a cry of rage. He figures that if Lakshmi becomes more occupied with rescuing him and/or Wash, then she won't have time to stab Byerly in someplace fatal. He aims to tackle Byerly bodily to the ground, or as close as he can get given his lighter weight. And then he rears an arm back to aim a punch at the man's gut or face, whatever is within reach. ]
