Yes, she'd known Byerly had been brought in to Duv's interrogation, but somehow she hadn't imagined him much of an active participant, not when Piotr has plenty of men willing and practiced at it, not the least of all himself. But the worst thing is, it...it doesn't sound implausible. Not at all. Piotr isn't a heartless monster, but Sonia knows what he's willing to do to win the war. She isn't quite as sheltered from that as Piotr and Olivia might think.
