The sheer absurdity of it -- and the confusion, because what just happened with that water now? -- actually startles a laugh from Sonia, probably the first since she got here. But then the blue girl is crying out in pain even with that grin on her face -- that's a look Sonia recognizes, or ought to, it's only the one she wears every time she gets one up on Ezar -- and Sonia moves forward almost without thinking, a hand stretched out to touch her arm.
