[ Trust out of necessity. He's a soldier, and he's well familiar with it -- the people fighting next to you have your life in their hands, whether you like it or not. But it's more than that, too, he'd heard it in his voice, in his the desperation and frustration he was letting seep through. Could all be on purpose, of course. Trusting Miles' judgment is still a large part of it. But Byerly's gone to great lengths to ensure Wash gave his word on something real, and Wash thinks he can trust that, as well. ]
