[ Wash is always watching, more than prying, but he learns plenty just from that. He doesn't often openly pry and press, not as much as Byerly, at least -- but he wasn't entirely lying when he'd said it was all for a love of the game. He likes testing people, likes digging in deeper and more, finding some loose thread to tug at, and god there is some part of him that does love when he's able to take someone apart. Not that he really thinks he's likely to get that far with Byerly, but. If he's going to pry, then Wash is going to pry right back.
