Micah

This satellite trip is easily the most exciting thing Micah's gotten to do since being captured by the Cetagandans. Leaving the base at all is a treat -- but getting to leave the planet? Micah knows they're still a prisoner, but there's a freedom about being up in space again that feels like a massive relief.

They're in high spirits during the trip, excited and intent on whatever new data they might find. They've got notes with them as well as a large erasable board for doing on-the-fly problem solving as needed, but they spend a good deal of time near the viewscreens and the data readouts. The ship's own scanning systems are not terribly sophisticated, but they're not useless, either. And once the satellite is launched, there's an immediate flood of fascinating readouts.

When the power surge hits the ship, Micah's startled -- not totally thrown, dealing with space emergencies is part of their job -- but they're impressed with the team's response to the situation. It's a frantic scrabble, but they finally launch the satellite…and Micah is so excited.

They can be approached for conversation at pretty much any point during the trip -- they'll probably be working, but they might also be convinced to take a nap at some point.
