Lapis 100% keeps walking into Deanna's hand when she stops suddenly. Okay, maybe it's not so suddenly, but it feels suddenly to Lapis. Thankfully she does stop, and she gives Deanna a quizzical look before she hears the voices too.

And then she's super interested, sidling up against the wall and shimmying a little closer. She motions for Deanna to do the same, until the voices are clearer.
