Unlike before, Lapis brings Jasper with her when she sneaks out this time. It's muscle she doesn't have, and this time if she gets caught like she had with Pearl, it'll be easier to have Jasper intimidate anyone who might catch them.

Thankfully no one does, and Lapis keeps her promise to Pearl, listening in on things she shouldn't be. This time from somewhere thankfully safer in her opinion. She frowns when she hears what they're talking about, and she looks and speaks low.

"The Jacksonians are basically black market dealers." Lapis has been doing a little research in her down time, and Jasper might not know. "What does she mean by the complexes?" That one is a little lost on her at the moment, but Amai sounds pretty disgusted with whatever is going on. Lapis can only assume they're selling something important.
