Jasper frowns down at her. The idea definitely doesn't sit well with her. On the one hand, the ideal scenario is they can just leave through the wormhole, and then what the humans here to do themselves and each other isn't their problem any more. On the other hand... if they go back through the wormhole, it's to Earth, with no guarantee they won't still be human – and if they aren't, Lapis won't need her at all, and...

Jasper's been thinking about this a lot. More or less all of these potential outcomes are Bad. Might as well at least be doing something.
