Wash instructed her to distract the guards so that he could get a drop on them, but he wasn't actually too clear on what exactly she was supposed to do to get their attention. It would seem that they were pretty damn determined to stay exactly where they were, but Wash had ghosted off already and so she was pretty much left to her own devices.

Knowing full well that he was not going to approve, she stepped out into the line of sight of the guards, and kind of gave them an awkward wave.

"Uh. Hi guys."
