He steps closer as well, not kneeling just yet, though he watches her movements with interest, frown deepening a bit as his brow furrows.
"Whatever could be said for him, I hardly think anyone should have to be found this way..."
His gaze lands on the bottle, broken by the man's side, the way he's positioned, and then glances upward, starting to try to piece it back together...
"Though I do take it that he wasn't universally beloved." His tone stays away from being judgmental - it's not as if he hasn't seen the way that some of the soldiers regard them, even in as short a time as he's been here, and he wouldn't begrudge anyone their feelings on the matter, but this is a dead man lying before them, and that's certainly a relevant bit of information.
