"I said no details," Sonia says, cutting him off with a raised hand, but she's grinning helplessly. She looks deeply warmed, something she needed just now, a little kernel of hope for something she doesn't fully expect to see in any way beyond the abstract. She rests her chin in her hands and beams at Byerly.

"Miles said he was a good man," she says fondly, delighted at Byerly's smile. Of course, he hadn't been nearly as descriptive, and while she doesn't want any more details...by Byerly's description, someone Sonia's already sort of proud of. "And if you think so too, he really must be."
