As caught up in his own misery as he is, York still sees and hears Lapis' restless pacing. He catches it out of the corner of his eye every time she passes, and finally he turns his head to see her properly. That's when he realizes she's still in the same clothes she arrived in -- he's put on a set of Cetagandan fatigues and a pair of boots over his undersuit.
