She presses the hypospray to Lapis's inner arm, at the juncture of her elbow, and with a soft hiss, the vial inside begins to fill with blood -- blue blood. Diya doesn't move, but her vision sharpens, like a lens refocusing.

"Hm," she comments wordlessly, in a voice like Interesting. There's a certain look on the ghem med techs' faces as well, behind the face paint, coming out now that Lapis is being more cooperative. It's almost appreciative. They gesture Lapis back toward the exam table, politely. The med tech with the hypospray looks at the CMO, then back at Diya, and hands her the hypospray first. Diya inspects it like an antiquities expert might inspect some artifact.
