Wash hasn't been sleeping.

Not since Sonia's been captured. Not sleeping is usual for him, of course, but he's still human, he has limits, and this is stretching it even for him, especially when he's not exactly been idling around camp. He's been pulling his weight, he did his part in Vorkosigan Vashnoi ( and managed to fuck things up slightly less badly this time, at least ), kept to the arrangements with the informants, and god, he's tired. Tonight, probably, is when he'll have to give in. He's just being stubborn, because he knows what he'll see when he does.

Symmetra in the village is a welcome if unexpected sight. He does like talking to her, but being here after the recent battle . . . She's taking a risk, if she's recognized, but she's probably still here to help, as she always is. It's obvious how exhausted he is when he comes up to her, but that slight smile is genuine, no matter how tired it might be.

"You're here again," he says. The smile fades, though. He's tired, and also might've been helping the villagers bury their recent dead. Only so much room for cheer -- and he does wonder what Symmetra thinks of the recent battle. "How've you been?"
